Strategic Entity Liaison

The Department of Conservation (DOC) is seeking a Strategic Entity Liaison to advise our Minister and engage with statutory bodies. This role involves managing board appointments, providing governance support, and ensuring effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
As a Senior Statutory Bodies Advisor, you will play a critical role in shaping our entity governance strategy and supporting the Minister's office. Your expertise in governance advisory services and machinery of government will be invaluable in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage board appointment processes, including candidate selection and briefing preparation
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with statutory bodies and other stakeholders
- Support the development of annual workplans and strategic documents
- Provide advice and guidance to regional Board Support Officers on governance matters
Requirements:
- Experience in governance advisory services and entity governance
- Strong understanding of the machinery of government and departmental roles
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions
