Historic Estate Caretaker

**Role Description**

We are seeking a highly motivated Country Estate Steward to join our team at Fyvie Castle. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a beautiful historic setting and contribute to the preservation of Scotland's cultural heritage.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the estate's grounds, buildings, and facilities, ensuring they remain safe and accessible for visitors.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the estate's grounds, including lawns, gardens, and outdoor spaces.
• Oversee routine maintenance tasks on estate buildings, including repairs and upkeep of fences, gates, and other countryside furniture.
• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of equipment and vehicles, adhering to all relevant safety procedures.
• Conduct daily inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action as necessary.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement plans for conservation and restoration projects.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to visitors, communicating key safety messages and promoting the site's unique features.
• Supervise and train volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
