The Role
This permanent position is based in Wellington and reports directly to the General Manager Risk and Assurance/General Counsel. As our Chief Data Governance Specialist, you will play a key role in strengthening our privacy practices and culture. Your responsibilities will include leading our privacy awareness, education, and training program, as well as building strong relationships with various stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of our privacy strategy and related policies
* Provide expert advice on data protection and compliance matters
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent application of data governance principles
* Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills
Requirements
* Proven experience in leading data governance or privacy initiatives
* Strong technical knowledge of data protection laws and regulations
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
* Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
