Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in primary care and support people sooner rather than later. As a generalist, you will be responsible for providing brief behavioural and psychological interventions to support mental and physical health and wellbeing for our clinic populations.

You will work closely with nurses and GPs to identify and address patient needs, develop and implement individualised treatment plans, and conduct regular progress reviews. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Key Requirements:

  • Post-graduate qualification enabling you to work therapeutically with clients
  • Registration with a registering body under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCA)
  • Experience working with clients and their whānau in a team or clinical setting
  • Experience in evidence-based therapeutic models, particularly brief psychological interventions
