Role Overview

The Clinical Coach is a key position within Te Whatu Ora Whanganui, supporting new graduate Nurses on the Nursing Entry to Practice Programme (NETP) and transitioning them into competent practitioners in the clinical setting.

This role will collaborate with NETP Coordinator and work alongside NETP nurses in their first year of practice to enhance skill development and adaptability in a new environment.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be a team player, and have a strong commitment to cultural safety and equitable outcomes for Māori.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support NETP Coordinator in programme delivery
  • Work alongside NETP nurses in their first year of practice to support skill development
  • Assess NETP nurses in regard to nursing knowledge and skills
  • Support the delivery of WDHB pro-equity work plan
