The Regional Health Manager role is responsible for leading the delivery of health targets in the Te Manawa Taki Region. This includes working with senior managers to develop regional delivery plans, outsourcing arrangements, and monitoring delivery against production plans to ensure equitable and optimal results.

A key function of this role is to be responsible for delivering against the health targets in conjunction with operational teams. The position will work closely with district, Commissioning, and NPHS teams to develop improvement plans and initiatives for performance enhancement related to service delivery, with a particular focus on the Health Targets.

To be successful in this role, you will have over 10 years of experience in production planning and service performance monitoring in the health sector. You should have a deep understanding and proven experience in managing operations within large and complex organizations.

You will also have successfully contributed to the development and implementation of clinical services, ensuring they meet both the organization's and patients' needs. A solid understanding of New Zealand's Price Volume Schedule (PVS) and costing methods is essential for managing service budgets and ensuring accurate financial planning.

This role requires proven experience in the development and monitoring of production and performance improvement plans with senior clinical and operational leaders. You should also have experience in developing strategic health service outsourcing requirements in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and working with sourcing partners to establish contracts for delivery.

In addition, competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth is highly valued. Experience in projects/initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings, is also desirable.

Public sector and/or health sector experience is essential for this role. We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
