The role of Multimedia Storyteller involves identifying and reporting fair, accurate, high-quality, and engaging current and consumer affairs journalism (video and text) primarily for TVNZ's digital platforms.

You will work collaboratively across the newsroom to achieve editorial and content excellence. In this role, your focus will be on:

  • Create engaging, current, and consumer affairs content that is innovative, in-depth, compelling, and balanced
  • Content that will resonate with our digital audiences and could appeal to advertising partners predominantly on TVNZ+ and 1News.co.nz
  • Embrace and utilise technical processes, understand how to get current and consumer affairs content onto TVNZ+ and other platforms (social media; 1news.co.nz; linear programmes)

We are seeking someone with proven ability to craft engaging news and current and consumer affairs stories that will hold the viewer or reader's attention from start to finish.
