**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced teacher to join our team at Northern Health School. This part-time position involves teaching secondary students (Years 7–15) / wharekura, with a focus on English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Maori, and The Arts.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with NCEA level students and a good understanding of the curriculum at all levels. We are looking for someone who can adapt to changing student needs and accommodate a growing roll.
Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Maori, and The Arts to Years 7–15 students
- Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that meet individual student requirements
- Assessing student progress and providing feedback
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid teaching certification
- Experience working with NCEA level students
- A good understanding of the New Zealand curriculum and its application in a classroom setting
