About the Role

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Tai Tokerau is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Regional Dual Disability Service (RDDS) team in the North Island. Our RDDS team works as one regional service and pathway following a hub and spoke model, with the hub based in Counties Manukau and a spoke team based in Te Tai Tokerau.

This position will align to one or the other base team. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work closely with our dedicated and experienced RDDS team members to provide assessment, intervention, and consultation services for adult clients with both a psychiatric disorder and significant intellectual disability.

We offer a comprehensive service including assessment, intervention, and consultation for clients with diverse and complex needs, including Autism, physical health conditions, and complex Epilepsy.

This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your specialist skills or interest in dual disabilities and further develop your clinical expertise.
