About the Role

As a specialist Endocrinologist at Christchurch Hospital, you will provide expert care for patients with a range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, adrenal and pituitary conditions, and metabolic bone disorders.

You will work closely with a dedicated team of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. This part-time role includes inpatient and outpatient services, participation in multidisciplinary meetings, and involvement in teaching and mentoring junior doctors and medical students. There are also opportunities for clinical research and service development initiatives.

Our Endocrinology team is a highly skilled and supportive group committed to delivering excellent patient-centered care. Christchurch Hospital is the largest tertiary hospital in the South Island, providing comprehensive medical services to a diverse population.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Specialist qualification in Endocrinology, eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand

  • Interest in teaching, research, and service development
