At Homes, we understand the importance of providing a comprehensive approach to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. Our night shelter facility offers a safe and welcoming space for people to access essential services, including food, clothing, and healthcare.
">We are seeking four Support Workers on a 6-month fixed term basis to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals experiencing homelessness, assisting them with the shelter facilities, providing supervision, crisis intervention, security, and maintaining health and safety while the individuals are using our site.
">The successful candidate will have experience in homelessness services, emergency accommodation or social work, and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by homeless individuals. They will demonstrate empathy and sensitivity towards individuals experiencing homelessness and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
">We adhere to strict health and safety standards and procedures, and a full clean driver's licence is preferred. The YMCA Taranaki is committed to Child Protection and the safeguarding of tamariki and young people in our care.
