Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Programme Facilitator to join our team in Christchurch. The successful applicant will be responsible for designing and delivering adventure, recreation, social, life, and horticulture-based work-skills programmes for groups of young people with intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver programmes that cater to the needs of young people with intellectual disabilities
- Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes personal growth and development
- Collaborate with the team to ensure programme delivery meets the organisation's standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications such as a Sport and Recreation or Recreation Therapy Degree, Psychology/Health or Social Science degrees (desirable)
- Demonstrated youth leadership and volunteer management skills
- Demonstrated experience working with youth with intellectual disabilities
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering programmes for groups of young people with intellectual disabilities
