We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our IT team at our site in Mt Wellington, Auckland. As a key member of our infrastructure group, you will be responsible for implementing, administering, and operating all networks and firewalls across our organization. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience (8+ years) and 8+ years of experience in a network-focused technology role. Expert knowledge of Juniper or Cisco network switching, Fortinet firewall setup, configuration, and management is required. Familiarity with WAN, SD-WAN, routing, IPSEC, SSL VPNs, and firewalls is also essential.
Responsibilities
This role involves:Enabling engineers to develop and deliver world-class rocket launch capabilities through reliable and scalable network infrastructure.Providing subject matter expertise to deliver and support highly available IT network infrastructure.Leading upgrades and maintenance to ensure continuous improvement and provide a secure network environment.Collaborating with project teams to scope, plan, and deploy new network infrastructure projects.Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, with expertise in Juniper or Cisco network switching, Fortinet firewall setup, configuration, and management. Familiarity with WAN, SD-WAN, routing, IPSEC, SSL VPNs, and firewalls is also essential. Experience with AWS and/or O365 & Azure enterprise environments, as well as familiarity with security frameworks and technologies such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, HA/DR/BC, Certificate Management (PKI), DNS, or DHCP would be advantageous.
