Job Description

This role requires an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership to enhance patient treatment and care planning for elective surgical patients and oncology patients at Mercy Hospital. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to optimise health outcomes for consumers.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Collaborate with credentialed specialists to ensure comprehensive care across the healthcare continuum for our patients.
  • Provide clinical leadership support and education to staff to promote best practice and standards of care.
  • Oversee and support the management of patients with complex needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

">
  • Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Hold a current practising certificate with prescribing authority.
  • Proficiency in advanced nursing procedures.
  • Minimum of 4 years of clinical practice within the defined scope of specialty practice.
  • New Zealand Resuscitation Council CORE qualification.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to relate well to health professionals and members of the public.
