As an experienced Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for supporting our busy urban fleet in Whanganui. This is a new role due to our growth, offering a low-stress work environment with most of the fleet returning by 5pm and minimal ongoing issues.
We're looking for a skilled and qualified professional who can work independently while being part of a wider support network. Strong fault diagnosis and repair skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate with external service providers and internal support teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Routine servicing and minor repairs of our mixed fleet of urban buses
- Diagnosing and repairing faults across the fleet
- Working with outwork providers to manage maintenance and repairs
- Carrying out small fault repairs and general servicing
- A strong understanding of heavy duty vehicle maintenance and repair
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full NZ driver's licence (Class 2 or higher preferred)
