About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Fleet Equipment Manager to join our team at Whitewater. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining heavy-duty fleet equipment, including Snow Cats and other vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a shop environment and possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems. A valid driver's license and a clean driving abstract are also required.

In this role, you will work closely with shop staff to ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standard. You will also be responsible for training and educating apprentices in conjunction with the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor.

This position requires a strong leadership skill and ability to work independently. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is able to prioritize tasks effectively.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all needed maintenance activities for all heavy-duty fleet equipment to a high professional standard.
  • Schedule and implement daily, weekly and annual fleet maintenance.
  • Overseeing and supervising large scale maintenance work.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic – BC Trades Certification or Interprovincial Red Seal Trades Certification, or 3rd year apprenticeship required.
  • Valid Driver's License required with clean drivers abstract.
