Key Responsibilities
  • The Centre Manager will be responsible for leading our team of early childhood educators, fostering a culture that promotes collaboration, innovation and excellence in teaching and learning.
  • This role involves developing and coordinating centre-wide programmes, ensuring they align with our vision and values and meet the needs of our children and families.
  • The successful candidate will maintain strong relationships with parents, staff and other stakeholders, communicating effectively and regularly to keep everyone informed about centre activities and developments.
  • The Centre Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the centre's finances, managing budgets and contributing to the overall financial sustainability of the organisation.
  • This role requires a strong focus on quality improvement, driving excellence in education and care through ongoing review and refinement of centre-wide systems and processes.

Requirements

  • A current teacher registration or certification with a relevant early childhood qualification is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have significant leadership experience, preferably within an early childhood education context, and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as the New Zealand Teaching Council, ERO and MOE requirements, Licensing Criteria and Code of Ethics is necessary.
  • A collaborative approach to working with stakeholders and other centre managers is expected.
  • The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing centre operations, leading teams and developing high-quality early childhood curriculum.
