**Job Summary**

We're seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our Waimea Residential Recovery Service. As a key member of our team, you'll provide essential resources, mental health support, and overall well-being care to residents.

The Waimea service supports high-needs guests on their mental health journey, offering a safe and nurturing environment. You'll work together with residents to identify, set, and achieve their goals – promoting healthy living, independence, and personal growth.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Support residents with daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, gardening, and household tasks.
  • Foster culturally safe practice, focusing on individual needs and preferences.
  • Complete administrative tasks, take comprehensive notes, and provide effective handovers to the next shift.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless care and support.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • High cultural competency and knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
  • Current full and clean New Zealand driver's licence.
  • Comprehensive first aid certificate covering units 6400, 6401, and 6402 or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
  • PREFERRED: New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent) or willingness to commence study within 6 months and complete within 2 years.
