Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Class 5 Hiab truck driver to operate hiab-equipped trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. The role involves operating trucks in local areas, including Rotorua, and surrounding regions such as Tauranga, Whakatane, Taupo, and Opotiki.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity to work with a well-maintained fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will be responsible for performing daily vehicle inspections, securing loads, and following all safety protocols during transportation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 4 Hiab trucks and have Class 5 for the trailer to load, transport, and unload various materials.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are in good working order.
  • Secure loads and follow all safety protocols during transportation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A full NZ Class 5 license.
  • Current HIAB certification and solid hiab driving experience.
  • The ability to follow instructions.
  • Physically fit for the occasional heavy lifting and manual handling duties required.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • A commitment to Health & Safety.
  • NZ residency or ability to provide a work visa.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • A clean criminal history.
