Senior Tradesperson

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Foreman to lead our team in New Plymouth. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

1. Lead a team of skilled tradespeople, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and excellence
2. Develop and implement effective project plans, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence
3. Conduct regular toolbox talks, task analysis, and safe work procedures to maintain a safe working environment
4. Mentor and develop junior staff members, focusing on their growth and skill development
5. Work closely with project managers to ensure alignment with company objectives
6. Promote a positive, inclusive company culture, fostering open communication and collaboration among team members

Requirements
To succeed in this position, you will require:

1. 10 years' trade experience with at least 5 years' leadership experience
2. Trade certification in HVAC Engineer/Duct fabrication and installation, Pipefitter, or mechanical experience
3. Experience in heavy commercial construction (schools, hospitals, etc.)
4. Ability to decipher and analyze detailed plans
5. Proven problem-solving skills
6. Strong communication skills (leading a team of 5+)
7. Health and safety consciousness
8. Maintaining a high level of quality assurance
9. Willingness to relocate to the South Island
10. Friendly, approachable, and well-spoken demeanor
11. Ability to nurture and upskill staff
