Job Description

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated knowledge of plants and growth patterns, as well as excellent communication and organisational skills. They will be highly motivated, flexible, and able to take initiative, with a strong work ethic and reliability.

You will be responsible for tending to a wide range of gardening activities, including site preparation, planting, garden and plant maintenance, mowing lawns, and using various garden power tools. A high level of fitness is required for this physically demanding role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated competence in a similar role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of plants and growth patterns
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and able to take initiative
  • NZ Drivers License and the ability to drive a small manual truck
  • NZQF Level 1 qualification, or compulsory secondary education (ANZSCO Skill Level 5)
  • Ideally, Level 3 Horticulture with a desire to continue with Level 4 although this is not essential as training will be provided for an enthusiastic applicant
