Job Description:

The Import And Export Operator will be responsible for managing day-to-day shipping operations for key customers, upholding DP World's reputation and brand as a market-leading logistics service provider.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage all shipments internationally for customers with appointed service providers
  • Maintain and update records of all shipments and provide activity reporting and key dates to customers
  • Work closely with Procurement to ensure best rates are obtained for use by the customer and meet requirements
  • Create draft, final, and amendments of bill of lading for all bookings (exports)
  • Lodge EDNs as required for export and lodge PRA's if required by Customer
  • Input and update all booking and shipment details into DPWAGF's system Cargowise
  • Manage any booking amendments and manage the creation of required export documentation for the customer
  • Monitor Customs Clearance and other regulatory releases
  • Manage any routing amendments, Change of Delivery, Splitting Bill of Lading

About You

The successful candidate will possess industry-specific qualifications, industry training in freight forwarding, and 2-4 years' experience in import/export operations. They should also have excellent understanding of the supply chain from a New Zealand outlook and strong customer service skills.
