About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic and fast-paced PACU team. This is a 0.8 FTE position that requires a minimum of 2 years PACU experience and clinical emergency management skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to establish and maintain strong collegial relationships, with paediatric experience being highly desirable. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and develop your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Job Description

About the Role

This is a critical care nurse specialist role in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the immediate post-operative period.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage patient care needs in the PACU environment
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate with Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • Minimum 2 years PACU experience
  • Clinical Emergency Management skills - preferably current CPR Core Advanced
  • Paediatric experience is highly desirable
