We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our Supported Living Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling lives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with intellectual disabilities and be able to provide person-centered care and support. You will be an effective communicator and have the ability to build positive relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement personalized support plans for clients
- Provide daily living support, including assistance with cooking, cleaning, and budgeting
- Help clients maintain social connections and engage in community activities
- Collaborate with the Supported Living Team to ensure comprehensive support is provided to clients
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Strong understanding of person-centered care principles
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A Full NZ drivers' licence
