As a Hydraulic Modeller and Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our drinking water supply. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our drinking water hydraulic models, providing technical advice to operations, planning, engineering, and asset management teams, and conducting thorough technical reviews (peer review) of outsourced model build projects and master planning studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain drinking water hydraulic models.
  • Provide technical advice to operations, planning, engineering, and asset management teams.
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews (peer review) of outsourced model build projects and master planning studies.
  • Support strategic network planning and development control.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • A Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (for example, Civil or Environmental Engineering).
  • Ideal 10+ years' experience in Drinking water hydraulic modelling.
  • Modelling project management experience.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with strong data analytics skills.
  • Proven ability to innovate and implement new modelling techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring.
