Job Description

  • Key Responsibilities (Commercial Law):
    • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts;
    • Advising on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate structuring;
    • Assisting with franchising, licensing, and joint ventures;
    • Providing strategic guidance on corporate governance and regulatory compliance;
    • Handling banking, finance, and secured transactions;
    • Advising on shareholder and partnership agreements;
    • Managing intellectual property, technology, and trade-related matters;
    • Supporting clients in risk management and regulatory investigations;
    • Assisting in commercial dispute resolution, including contractual disputes and shareholder conflicts;
    • Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
  • Key Responsibilities (Property Law):
    • Complex residential and commercial conveyancing;
    • Commercial leasing and property development;
    • Mortgage transactions;
    • Drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents;
    • Advising clients and conducting due diligence;
    • Dispute resolution and litigation support.

About You
To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • NZ-admitted Solicitor status;
  • 3-4 years PQE experience;
  • Strong legal drafting, advisory, and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple files efficiently;
  • The capacity to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
