About the Role

This role supports the work of Occupational Therapists in Older Adult Mental Health Services, assisting in recovery and transition planning for patients leaving hospital.

You will be part of a team helping individuals recover from illness and transition to community care. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, undertaking therapy interventions, documenting patient progress, and supporting daily living activities. You will also participate in group activities and administrative tasks.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • An enthusiastic and resilient attitude with a 'can do' approach
  • The ability to work under pressure, adapt to new ways of working, and effectively communicate with people from diverse backgrounds
  • A minimum Career Force Level 3 Health and Wellbeing/Assistant strand qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working with older adults with mental health issues
