**Role Overview**

The University of Canterbury is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Operations and Logistics team as a Fleet Operations Assistant.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of the university's vehicle fleet, from maintaining and relocating vehicles to assisting with campus logistics and event support.

We're looking for someone who is proactive, has excellent communication skills, and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in delivering upholstery cleaning and deep cleaning services.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role.
  • Knowledge/understanding of Health & Safety regulations (desirable).
  • Computer Skills (i.e. knowledge of Microsoft Office applications)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and relocating university vehicles
  • Assisting with campus logistics and event support
  • Ensuring fleet cleanliness and coordinating servicing
  • Responding to operational needs as they arise

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar industry or service
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
