About the Role

\

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Education Advisor. This is a permanent role based at our Whangarei office.

\

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the education sector to implement education priorities, including improving attendance and achievement outcomes through a knowledge-rich curriculum grounded in the science of learning.

\

You will work closely with schools, kura, and whanau to ensure students are attending and engaged in education, utilizing the suite of supports and interventions available to advance attendance and achievement outcomes.

\

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicating government priorities and strategies to stakeholders\
  • Identifying and providing implementation support to schools and education providers\
  • Tracking and reporting on implementation progress\
  • Working collaboratively with other teams to deliver services to the education sector\
\

Requirements

\

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in building relationships and influencing change to achieve outcomes. You will also have strong engagement and communication skills, including experience of providing high-quality written and verbal advice.

\

Additionally, you will need to have the ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

We work closely with the Early Childhood and Schooling sectors, providers, and communities to provide support, expertise, and resources to help children and young people reach their full potential.
