Culinary Trainer

Department Of Corrections Nz seeks a skilled individual to teach, support and develop men in our care. As a Catering Instructor, you will provide direct supervision and practical training within a commercial kitchen setting.
Key aspects of the role include teaching and mentoring offenders, providing guidance on food preparation and delivery, and enabling them to achieve NZQA qualifications.
In this position, you will work with a diverse group of people, helping them to gain new skills and build their confidence.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a kitchen environment, ideally holding a relevant trade qualification.

• Outstanding Health and Safety practices
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills
• The ability to motivate and harness the talents of individuals within a team environment
• Ideal candidates will have adult education or NZQA assessment experience (4098 or equivalent)
• Ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Stocktake management experience
• A full Driver's Licence and First Aid Certificate is required
