Medical Typist

**About the Role**

This position requires a highly skilled and accurate individual to provide typewritten materials for Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with hospital medical typing processes and maintain high standards of quality care.

The role is based at Tauranga Hospital and involves working in a team of 27 experienced transcriptionists. As a member of this team, you will be committed to providing an exceptional service to clinicians, health professionals, patients, and their whanau.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Providing high-quality and accurate typed materials
• Maintaining operational use of all hospital medical typing processes
• Meeting turnaround timeframes within the service

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

• Previous experience in the New Zealand healthcare sector
• Competent transcription skills
• Minimum typing speed of 70wpm with 85% accuracy rate
• Editing and formatting typed letters
• Specific administration duties
