About the Job

We are seeking a skilled engineer to provide expert technical advice and ensure compliance with legal and engineering standards. As a Development Engineer, you will work closely with our team of Civil Engineers to assess applications, draft consent conditions, and evaluate Engineering Plan Approvals in accordance with the Resource Management Act, Building Act, Bylaws, Unitary Plan, and Council's engineering standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing applications for land development projects
  • Drafting consent conditions and evaluating Engineering Plan Approvals
  • Conducting site inspections to verify compliance and asset quality
  • Reviewing Resource and Building Consent applications
  • Maintaining accurate records in SAP and updating timesheets

You will also have the opportunity to improve consent processes and enhance efficiency, contributing to the overall success of the department.
