Production Engineering Manager

As a key member of the Site Management Team, the Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring that plant assets are managed and maintained effectively. This involves leading a team of engineers to achieve minimal downtime due to engineering and maintenance requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Engineering Manager and Improvement Engineers to implement and manage plant improvement projects. They will also provide confident leadership to an existing well-skilled engineering team.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and further develop the team culture within the maintenance department.
- Prioritise expenditure decisions based on cost and resource management.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility with a focus on preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge of hygienic food manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems (MEX preferred but not essential).
- Analytical and decision-making abilities with planning and good judgement.
- A strong leadership style to drive positive outcomes.
- A can-do attitude and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- A commitment to upholding the company's high standards of Health and Safety.
- Effective communication skills both oral and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
