The Role

This position involves creating engaging content for social media platforms, driving app downloads, and producing high-quality videos. You'll work closely with our team of content creators to grow Roady's social channels and develop viral travel content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Social Media Growth – Develop and implement strategies to increase followers and engagement on Instagram and TikTok.
  • App Growth – Utilize social media to drive app downloads and user engagement.
  • Content Creation – Plan, shoot, and edit short-form travel videos showcasing New Zealand's best destinations.
  • Brand Partnerships – Collaborate with Roady's partners to roll out promotional campaigns.
  • App Content Management – Add new must-do experiences to the Roady App, writing content in our brand's tone of voice.
  • Community Engagement – Moderate new app listing requests from travellers and businesses.
  • Email & Blog Writing – Occasionally craft engaging emails and blog posts to support marketing efforts.
Requirements
  • Video creation & editing – Proficient in creating and editing short-form videos for Instagram and TikTok.
  • iPhone filming skills – Comfortable shooting video content on an iPhone.
  • Social media growth – Has experience growing a social media account (business or personal brand).
  • Love for travel – Keen to explore New Zealand regularly as part of their job.
  • Confidence on camera – Comfortable featuring in content and bringing personality to videos.
  • Data-driven mindset – Comfortable analyzing content performance and testing strategies to boost views & app downloads.
  • Strong storytelling & writing skills – Can bring experiences to life through compelling narratives.
  • Coachable & adaptable – Open to feedback and willing to learn.
  • Wellington-based or remote – Ideally based in Wellington or willing to move.
Work Environment

Roady operates a hybrid model, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. Our office is located in the Startup Hub, a shared space with other ambitious startups. We value collaboration and offer a vibrant work environment perfect for growth and development.
