About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team at Waikato Hospital.

As a successful Emergency Medicine Specialist, you will play a key role in providing emergency care to approximately 90,000 people per year. Our ED is the primary emergency service for about 300,000 people and secondary for the entire Waikato DHB region.

You will be responsible for overseeing about 35 junior staff, including on-the-floor education, and have opportunities to participate in teaching programs.

Clinical support duties are varied, with chances to participate on multiple levels if desired. We promote a healthy work-life balance, especially with outdoor activities in our region.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team. You will be a qualified Emergency Physician with strong relationship management skills.
