Financial Support Officer

**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled individual to join our Financial Accounting and Rates team as a Debt Management Support role.
This is a permanent part-time position (20 hours per week) that involves providing support to the Debt Management Officer, assisting with the accurate and timely processing of debtor invoices, resolving invoice queries and disputes, and acting as a liaison with council staff and debtors.
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to handle difficult clients while building client relationships.
You will also require a high degree of accuracy when undertaking tasks and have experience in a financial service environment, preferably with knowledge of debt collection and privacy laws.
The ideal candidate will be a minimum level 3 NCEA qualified individual with relevant experience across broad roles involving invoicing, credit control, and debt collections.
