About Us

Orange Sky Laundry is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a free mobile laundry and shower service to people experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to connect communities by working alongside service partners and community groups to uphold the dignity and mana of those in need.

We operate across multiple regions in New Zealand, including Auckland, Hamilton, Hawke's Bay, Wellington, and Christchurch. With 41,600 Kiwis experiencing homelessness, our kaupapa is to break down barriers and bring people together through acts of kindness and connection.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator to join our small, friendly, and passionate team. Working closely with our wider team, you will use your fundraising and marketing knowledge to implement a range of fundraising and marketing practices to suit New Zealand audiences and supporters.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing high-level administrative support to the MFP team
  2. Maintaining and enhancing internal processes to ensure best practice and improvements
  3. Conducting donor research and supporting relationship cultivation
  4. Preparing reports and updates to showcase impact and timely, thoughtful communications
  5. Collaborating and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to execute campaigns, presentations, and events
  6. Contributing to content creation and strategy, ensuring Orange Sky's unique perspective and whānau stories are authentically integrated into all marketing materials
  7. Enhancing visibility and awareness of Orange Sky by assisting with media and PR opportunities
  8. Confidently managing social media platforms
  9. Contributing to revenue targets by actively supporting, planning, executing, and reporting on fundraising activities
  10. Responding promptly to enquiries
  11. Identifying and implementing scalable and repeatable solutions
