About the Role

A dynamic and supportive team environment, with an interesting and wide variety of work to keep you engaged and motivated. You will be part of a specialist secondary service that provides management of the acute and active diabetic foot, including diabetic foot and wound assessments, treatment, and working closely with other health services to manage diabetic foot complications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide podiatry services including diagnosis, treatment, prevention, education, and management to the community in the Northland region who are vulnerable to having active or high-risk foot complications due to diabetic or other high-risk foot pathologies.

You will be required to have competence in managing high risk foot pathologies, including diabetic and vascular foot complications, wound assessment, treatment, and preventative management. Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate and empathise with patients and their whanau using appropriate language to convey health related information.
