Livestock Handler

Job Summary
Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC is seeking a skilled Barn Worker to join our team at our Long Prairie, MN plant. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in livestock handling and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Main Responsibilities:
* Move cattle from pen to pen for ante-mortem inspection
* Verify cattle counts per load and initial back of Ante-mortem card
* Highlight front of card verifying all info is correct and signed by USDA
* Separate slow/challenged cattle
* Transport/move deads; use skid loader to clean pens

Requirements:
* Must be 18 years of age or older
* Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
* Must live in Minnesota or be willing to relocate
* Must have 6 months related work experience (e.g., feed lot, dairy, auction barn, farm, cattle driving) in the last year
* Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime
