Role Overview
The Senior Advisor role is part of the Safe, Strong Families and Communities team, which delivers the Ministry's response to family violence, sexual violence, and building financial capability across New Zealand. In this role, you will work with a small dynamic team to redesign and enhance sexual violence services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality advice and reports to support the development of sexual violence support services.
- Collaborate with government agencies, non-government organizations, and internal teams to ensure sexual violence support services are responsive to Māori needs and meet the wider team culture.
- Bring strong writing and service design skills to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
- Understanding and ability to demonstrate actioning the Articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Sound understanding of political processes and how government operates.
- Service design and implementation experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively internally and externally to achieve agreed outcomes.
