Regional Basketball Governance Role - Sport New Zealand

The Capital Zone Basketball Trust is responsible for supporting the growth and development of basketball in the Greater Wellington region. As a member of our Board of Trustees, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation and ensuring its long-term sustainability.

We are committed to utilising basketball as a medium and pathway for youth development and to assist those at risk. Our focus is on encouraging participation in basketball both as a sport and as a community benefit.

The Trust employs a General Manager and four Community Development Officers, delivering programs and services from Kapiti through to Wellington and across all Wairarapa. Since its inception, the trust has delivered coaching and events involving over 38,000 participants and plans to extend and widen that support.

We are seeking individuals with a strong interest in basketball and a willingness to contribute their skills and experience to help grow the sport in our region. Preference will be given to applicants with board experience or a background in sports administration.
