At Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury, we are committed to putting people at the heart of all we do. As a Medical Registrar, you will be part of a dynamic team that plans, funds, and delivers health services to the people of Canterbury.
We have a range of facilities across the region, including Christchurch Women's Hospital, Hillmorton Hospital, and Ashburton Hospital. Our team is dedicated to providing world-class experience and training opportunities for medical professionals.
This rotational position offers a chance to grow your generalist skillset or develop in your specialist niche. You will work in General Medicine, Older Persons Health, Medical Relief & Specialties, and have the opportunity to gain varied case mixes and high-level medical education, training, and supervision.
To be eligible for this role, you must have completed a PGY2 year or equivalent, and have experience in a number of hospital departments. You should also have knowledge and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles, and be willing to grow and further develop an equity lens and skillset.
The successful candidate will be supported by our Resident Doctors - Support Team (RDST) and have access to first-class training and supervision from the Medical Education & Training Unit (METU).
