Tangram is seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a Carpenter. The successful candidate will have 2+ years of relevant experience in carpentry or hold a relevant qualification.
About the Role:
We are looking for an organized and trustworthy individual who can deliver high-quality workmanship. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for shaping and cutting materials to specified measurements, following safety rules and regulations, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws
* Install structures or fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware, using carpenter's hand or power tools
* Verify the trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level
* Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings
* Select and order lumber or other required materials
* Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue
* Maintain records, document actions, and present written progress reports
Requirements:
* 2+ years of relevant experience in carpentry or hold a relevant qualification
* Friendly, with good time management, and excellent work ethic
* Commitment to learning and developing skills within the industry
* Sound knowledge of H&S procedures
* Reliable and hardworking
Location:
The role may require occasional travel to various locations across New Zealand. We offer a permanent and full-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
