At CGR Services, we believe in the transformative power of language and cultural exchange. Our volunteer opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact by becoming a conversation partner for displaced Ukrainians.
About the RoleThis is not a formal teaching position, but rather an informal chance to connect with individuals from Ukraine and help them practice their English skills. Through our program, Language Connect for Ukraine, we match volunteers with learners who are eager to improve their fluency and confidence.
You will be responsible for holding casual video conversations with your assigned learner, encouraging natural communication, and creating a welcoming space for them to practice without fear. This is a unique opportunity to share your culture while learning about theirs, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of different perspectives.
Responsibilities- Hold regular video conversations with your assigned learner
- Encourage fluent communication and build trust
- Create a comfortable environment for language practice
To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, patience, and a willingness to help others. You must also be able to commit to regular conversations and have access to a reliable internet connection and video chat platform.
