About Mt HuttMt Hutt, a leading ski resort in New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand to join its culinary team. Located at Mt Hutt Station Road, Mt Hutt, Methven 7730, the resort offers a unique opportunity for individuals to be part of a dynamic and supportive team.

The RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to work in our kitchen as a Kitchen Hand. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing menu items, maintaining a clean and tidy environment, and ensuring top-notch quality while following hygiene and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of menu items and ski area cuisine adhering to company recipes and Head Chef instructions
  • Mise en place preparation, stock control, and planning for variances in trading
  • Communicating with and serving customers
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy section and kitchen
  • Assist in other areas of the department as required

About YouTo be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a commercial or high-volume kitchen. A Food Safety or Basic Cookery certificate is desirable. You must understand basic food safety practices and have a high level of personal presentation and hygiene.
