We are seeking an exceptional psychiatrist to join our esteemed team at Te Uru Ruahī, responsible for delivering primary, specialist, and community mental health & addiction services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of mental healthcare in New Zealand.
About Our Service:
Our organization operates across a diverse urban and rural population of 186,000 individuals, providing treatment and recovery-orientated services for those experiencing mental illness or addiction issues. We offer specialist community MH&A teams, kaupapa (Māori), Child Adolescent Mental Health Services, inpatient services, crisis response, acute alternatives, consultation-liaison MH, and specially designed residential programs.
We are undergoing a transformative change in the way we deliver adult and crisis services, shifting towards a wellness and recovery-focused approach that prioritizes access, choice, and care closer to home. This transformation includes significant investments in digital technologies and new infrastructure, including the construction of a state-of-the-art acute inpatient unit.
About Our Organisation:
Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua – Mid Central is a 350-bed hospital located in Palmerston North, Manawatū, serving a local population of 180,000 and acting as a regional hub for head and neck oncology services covering a population of 550,000. We are actively recruiting for Psychiatrists in various areas, including CAHMS, Community Consultation Liaison, and Alcohol and other drug services, offering a range of career opportunities within our organization.
Your Benefits:
You will enjoy working in a dynamic and collegial team environment with ongoing training and development opportunities. Additionally, you will receive six weeks annual leave per annum and ten paid days per annum for continued medical education, along with generous relocation packages available for national and international candidates.
About Our Region:
Manawatū is a region known for its unique blend of city and rural living, offering an ideal lifestyle with easy access to outdoor activities, beaches, ski fields, lakes, mountains, and hiking tracks.
