Carpentry Specialist

NIUS GARDEN LIMITED is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, renovating, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Constructs, erects, installs, renovates, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials
- Cutting, shaping, and fitting timber parts
- Timber decking and fencing installation, with a particular focus on elevated deck installations
- Wooden stairs installation
- Wooden pergola installation
- Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
- Cutting wood joints
- Repairing existing fittings
- Working with plastic laminates, perspex, and metals
- Construct concrete formwork
- Joinery fixing with landscaping structures and facilities
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience is required, preferably in a similar industry
- Proficient in the installation, renovation, and maintenance of wooden decks, fences, and pergolas, as well as driveway patching
- Proficient in using hand tools (such as large saws) and machines for woodworking, primarily for cutting, shaping, and fitting timber components
- Skilled in the installation and renovation of wooden furnishings, particularly in the renovation of wooden cabinets
- Able to comprehend the information and data as detailed in resource consent and building consent, such as landscape plan set and architectural plan, civil engineer EPA and driveway design, structure engineer retaining wall design and timber barrier design
- Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is a real bonus as our primary clients come from the Asian market, particularly Chinese clients
