About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic/Auto Electrician to join our team in Auckland. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a variety of heavy equipment machinery, including construction equipment and forklifts.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering 40 hours of work per week. You will be based in Auckland, with the majority of work taking place across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing and repairing heavy equipment machinery, including engines and transmissions
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks and repairs on construction equipment and forklifts
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues with machinery
  • Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with clients and colleagues

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Requirements
  • A trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics/Auto Electrical
  • At least 2 years of experience working with heavy equipment machinery
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and diagnostic techniques
  • Clean driver's license and preferably any relevant endorsements
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
