We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Garden Maintenance Volunteers at the Butterwick Hospice in Bishop Auckland.

**Role Overview:**

As a Garden Maintenance Volunteer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and developing the grounds of the hospice for the enjoyment of our service users, visitors, and staff. Your tasks may include:

  • Maintaining beds by weeding and planting
  • Mowing, strimming, hedge-cutting, and pruning
  • General clearing and tidying of the site, including leaf clearance

**Requirements:**

We welcome applicants with some gardening experience, but we also encourage anyone who is keen, reliable, and willing to pitch in. If you have any concerns about performing certain tasks, such as mowing and strimming, please don't worry – we will work with you to find suitable alternatives.

**What We Offer:**

We provide all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools, including lawn mowers and other machinery. You will need to bring your own sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for the task and weather conditions.
