The Job

This is a part-time Phlebotomist position working in our collection centres in Queenstown and Frankton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples and handling contained specimens, preparing them for transportation, and interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Blood collection and handling contained specimens
  • Preparing specimens for transportation
  • Interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role and a positive, friendly approach
  • Cultural and social sensitivity, and adaptability to special needs
  • Able to accurately follow detailed instructions and procedures in a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated towards learning and development in order to develop technical competency in Phlebotomy and other specimen collection procedures
  • Adaptable IT skills
  • Current full NZ driver's licence
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand

Learning and Development

We will support your development to become a Qualified Phlebotomy Practitioner with the Medical Sciences Council of NZ through on-the-job training and coaching.
